My brothers and sisters, I truly thank you for your faithfulness during these unprecedented times. While we are presently not holding worship services in our building, we have learned that the church is not the building, but the church is IN us. No matter where we are, God is always with us, and we can show His love and compassion to all those around us, even while being socially distant.
There is so much conflicting information regarding the reopening of our houses of worship. I just want you to be clear on where we are as a church. At this time, I do not have an estimated date for when the church will reopen. But I can assure you that I will continue to evaluate the situation and provide updates as they become available. In the meantime, let us continue to pray for those affected by this pandemic - those who have lost their jobs, our essential workers, those who were sick and are now recovering, and those who lost family members.
I will continue to seek wisdom from the Lord and be led by the CDC, our Governor, and the Interfaith Advisory Council. I have also established a Church Reopening Committee. This committee is tasked with the responsibility of putting reopening procedures in place to protect our members and visitors when it does become safe for us to reopen.
Until we reopen, we will continue our prayer conference calls on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. and our services on Sundays at 12 noon on YouTube. We will also be adding a google prayer line to our website, where you can call in for individual prayers on Mondays and Fridays.
My brothers and sisters, continue to stay safe and healthy, wear your masks when in public, maintain social distance, and wash your hands often. May God continue to bless, keep, and guide us.
